I loved the texture in this piece. I like the way the piece moves it has sort of a contradicting move to it, but it is not a bad thing. At first i go bottom and back into the piece, but then it is also bottom and outwards away from the piece. There are also some other details in the image that you have to be closer in to see, cannot quite make them out but it works with this image. There is also a good use of color ranging from blue, yellow, red. And the colors do not take away from each other
The only downfall is that it gets a little dark in the bottom left, and some in the top right. I also wish you could see the whole clock.
I love how I can enter into this work. Visually, there is space created for me to be a part of. I enter into the piece both through the lines of the texture and the illuminating halo around the door. I am very drawn into the space. This creates, in my opinion, a very strong piece that I want to continue to explore. I am curious about what world might be on the other side of the door. What might I be able to find if I were able to go through. It is a very intriguing piece. The value change of dark to light from the outside of the page to the middle point of the door really adds to this idea of entering into the work. A point that could be strengthened is the bottom right side. The image of Audrey Hepburn adds to the idea that there is something through the door, but I loose the guitar. I think that the guitar could be brought out slightly to continue to add to that curiosity. Over all, I think is one of the stronger images I have seen in the project. I enjoy the concept and the composition.
This was one of my favorite pieces. I think that the overall concept is very pleasing to the eye and interesting to the viewer. I love the texture that moves you through the space. While the red door is the focal point, you don't get stuck there. The numbers and the bright light help draw you around the door and allow you to get behind it. I love the use of the blues and the translucency.
The only place I get lost is the bottom right corner. It is hard to see what is down there and because the whole piece is an exploration you kind of get stuck there with unanswered questions. Overall, awesome job.
Jared, very tight game here! LOL. I look at your piece i think Michael Jackson, the man, the mystery, and the music..don't ask. I love your texture. The colors works. I love the red door and the clock around the image.
Hmmm. improvement. I only suggestion is that to lighten the bottom of the piece. I think it is a little dark. However, awesome job. I like looking at this
