I enjoy the color in this piece. The man-made chairs sitting in the forest is a really cool idea. I love the waterfall coming from the chair on the right. It makes me think this piece could be about how man-made objects and nature are one in the same.
There are only a few negative comments that come to mind. I think it would have been a little better if you couldn't see through the chairs. Perhaps it gives a ghostly appearance, but I think I would have liked it more if they were fully present. Other than that I really enjoy this. It is very pleasing to the eye.
Is that a waterfall in the bottom right? I really like the use of space down there. I think that the color choices were a good idea. The chairs left me with a sense of emptiness but I liked that about the image. Its like waiting for something unexpected to happen.
I do not like that on the left hand side of the image it seems to disappear. Maybe there was too much light. It's like the image itself is fading away. Other than that the image is good.
Curt. Your piece is my FAVORITE. Like the color, like the composition, like the two chair.
You did a great job with your process. Everything works and is indeed connected. My only improvement or suggestion would be the shadow in between the chair. Where does that shadow come from?
In addition, I love the water coming from the chair. When I look at your piece I think of a " High school student sitting in class and having use the bathroom" ..LOL. Sorry, it's nothing bad/negative conducted toward your piece. I'm looking at a comical aspect, but I think your piece is excellent!
I like the way the chairs break the piece into thirds. It is very balanced and pleasing to the eye, I love the use of color, the green and the orange work well together. I like the translucent aspect of the chairs, I think it makes you wonder. Added with the waterfall I think the chairs blend in rather than stand out too much, which I like. I love the use of nature.
The only thing I may change a little is the brightness on the left side, just to see what it looks like a little darker. The top left corner is particularly bright. Overall, I think it is a balanced and well thought out piece.
